Welcome Autumn! School is back in session, the street fair was a great success and the Redsox beat the Yankees in the playoffs! Things really are getting back to normal. I hope you all had a fantastic summer and were able to join us at our concerts, multi-cultural celebration or movie night. We had so much fun coming together and enjoying those summer nights with each other.

Dear Neighbors,

Hope springs eternal! The sweet fragrance of flowers blooming fills the air, the crack of the bat can be heard on the baseball fields and the wonderful sight of playgrounds and restaurants filling up can be seen. We are coming out and starting to break free of the terrible scourge of Covid. It is of utmost importance that we continue to practice caution and maintain safe protocols. However, there is a beautiful light that can now be seen at the end of the tunnel. Better days are rapidly approaching, especially in our Village!

Mayor’s Letter to the Residents November 2, 2020

Dear Neighbors,

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween!

It was nice to get a rare sunny day and that certainly brought out the trick or treaters in our Village. It was great to see kids of all ages out and about in costumes and masks. Although trick or treating was a little more difficult on the south side, adjacent to Covert Avenue. The county also took advantage of the rare sunshine to complete the paving of Covert Avenue on Saturday. I’d like to thank John Eskridge., the Resident Engineer on site for heeding my demands that the large dump trucks of asphalt cease traveling on residential roads filled with trick or treaters. Thanks also to Police Officer Titterton who responded to my 911 call to divert traffic from the same streets.
