Local Law Hearing

 

INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF NEW HYDE PARK

 PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees for the Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park will hold a Public Hearing on July 15, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., at the Village Hall, 1420 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, New York 11040, or at some other location to be hereafter designated by the Board of Trustees, in order to receive public comment upon the following:

PROPOSED LOCAL LAW AMENDING SECTION 195-7.1 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF NEW HYDE PARK, ENTITLED “REGULATIONS GOVERNING SPECIALPERMITS”, CREATING SUBSECTION D;

PROPOSED LOCAL LAW AMENDING SECTION 195-39 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF NEW HYDE PARK, ENTITLED “RULES AND FEES;

PROPOSED LOCAL LAW PURSUANT TO CANNABIS LAW §131 OPTING OUT OF LICENSING AND ESTABLISHING RETAIL CANNABIS DISPENSARIES AND/OR ON-SITE CANNABIS CONSUMPTION ESTABLISHMENTS WITHIN THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF NEW HYDE PARK;

PROPOSED LOCAL LAW FOR THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF NEW HYDE PARK CREATING CHAPTER 197, ENTITLED “PROHIBITING THE SMOKING OR VAPING OF CANNABIS PRODUCTS ON ALL VILLAGE OWNED PROPERTIES”.

 The Village of New Hyde Park does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in administration or access to or employment in its projects and activities.  Maria Cerda has been directed to coordinate compliance with non-discrimination requirements of the Federal Revenue Sharing regulations.

At the aforesaid time and place, all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.

At the public hearing on April 18th, the Board resolved to close the hearing and reserve decision.

PROPOSED LOCAL LAW FOR THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF NEW HYDE PARK AMENDING SECTION 189-16, ENTITLED “PARKING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES” TO FURTHER CLARIFY COMMERCIAL VEHICLE PARKING
§ 189-16. Parking of commercial vehicles.
  1. Except as otherwise provided under the provisions of this section, no person shall at any time on Sundays or between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays park or stand any commercial vehicle, bus, ambulette, delivery van, taxi, limousine, recreational vehicle or motor home on any residentially zoned premises or premises utilized for residential purposes, whether as a nonconforming use or by variance granted by the Zoning Board of Appeals or on that part or portion of any street in the Village, except a state highway, which lies within a residence district. For purposes of this subsection, a residence district shall not include or extend to that part or portion of any street or highway which adjoins and is contiguous with the property line of any parcel, fronting on such street or highway, improved by a building or structure used for any lawful business or industrial purposes.
  2. No person shall at any time park or stand a commercial vehicle in or upon any street or part of a street in the Village designated and described in Schedule XXVII (§ 189-78), attached to and made a part of this chapter, during the hours of any day(s) specified in said Schedule XXVII.
  3. No person shall at any time park or stand a commercial vehicle in or upon any part or portion of any MOPS facility established under Article V of this chapter and designated and described in Schedule XXV (§ 189-76) of this chapter, except as may be specifically authorized and permitted under or by any rule, order or regulation enacted pursuant to the provisions of said Article V of this chapter.
