The Village of New Hyde Park Parks and Recreation Commission is charged with overseeing the care and maintenance of Memorial Park, Nuzzi Field and their related recreational areas, activities, events and programs for children and adults.

Residents age 5 and older are required to present a PARK ID to enter the park, including the Dog Park. Residents can obtain their PARK ID, starting Wednesday, March 1st Pictures will need to be provided for all family members (including dogs). 

Please have the following available to obtain your ID via email:

– Completed Park Usage Pass Application.

  • A valid ID is required for each family member when registering.
  • A copy of a birth certificate is required for any child under the age of 18.
  • A current Utility Bill.
  • If renting your home, you must provide a valid lease or letter from your landlord.
  • All documents (including the application) should be emailed to Parks@vnhp.org.
  • When sending pictures, kindly save the picture with the first name, underscore, last name. For   example: FIRST NAME_LAST NAME.jpg
  • There should be One (1) photo per person. Please do not send group photos as they CAN NOT   be edited. 
  • Dog owners will need proof of vaccination for your dog.
  • You will be notified via phone or email when your Park ID is ready. Kindly wait to be notified. 

To Renew your Park ID for 2023

  • Send an email to Parks@vnhp.org with the subject line: 2023 Park ID renewal
  • Include family name along with each family members name requiring a new Park ID
  • Include a current utility bill 
  • You will be notified via phone or email when your Park ID is ready. Kindly wait to be notified.

VILLAGE RESIDENT GUEST POLICY
Effective Wednesday, June 15

Village of New Hyde Park residents (with Park ID) can bring into the park:

  • Immediate Family Members (children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents)
  • Residents need to present Park ID to enter

Childcare Provider Policy

Non Resident Childcare Provider (Grandparent, Nanny, Babysitter, and Health Aide) in lieu of Village Resident Parent Childcare provider must produce actual physical park ID of the parent as well as letter from parent identifying the childcare provider.

Resident Guest Policy

Each resident with a Park ID is permitted to bring along one guest at no charge per visit. Residents must remain in the park for the duration of the guest’s visit.

All guest vouchers are to be purchased at Village Hall with photo ID during business hours. Bulk purchases are available at a discount.

  • 20 Village Resident Guest Vouchers for $75
  • 10 New Hyde Park Town 11040 community vouchers for $80

Dog Park is for Village Resident dogs only.

All Concerts and Events at the Park are open to the public.
